Notre Dame named to 2014 President’s Larger Training Neighborhood Services Honor Roll

The University of Notre Dame has been named with distinction to the 2014 President’s Increased Schooling Neighborhood Support Honor Roll in recognition of its commitment to common local community service, education and financial development.

“We welcome this nationwide designation, and share the recognition with our wonderful community partners,” explained Paul Browne, vice president for public affairs and communications at Notre Dame. “With their collaboration, we are better ready to fulfill our mission to educate students in mind and heart, and comprehend our institutional commitment to increase the frequent good.”

Final year, Notre Dame supplied 187 local community-primarily based studying programs, involving three,455 college students. Much more than seven,500 Notre Dame students had been concerned in 315 tasks advantageous to the neighborhood and gave more 198,000 hrs of service at nearby community agencies.
