Saybrook’s Hudak to step down

Like the masters of Morse, Silliman and Timothy Dwight Colleges, Saybrook College Master Paul Hudak will phase down at the finish of the spring semester.

In an electronic mail sent to the Saybrook local community Tuesday morning, Hudak wrote that soon after finishing six many years of support as master, he will leave his post at the finish of this year. After currently being diagnosed with leukemia five many years in the past and acquiring a stem cell transplant a 12 months later, Hudak stated side effects of his treatments have left him with wellness troubles that are not daily life-threatening but have been hard to deal with. He explained he is stepping down sooner than he would have liked, but feels that he is no longer able to bring the vibrancy to the mastership that Saybrook deserves.

“With a hefty heart I create to inform you that this will be my last 12 months as Master of Saybrook School,” Hudak wrote. “I am amazingly privileged to have served as master for the past 6 many years.  Even although I’m stepping down sooner than I would have liked, all excellent items should come to an finish sometime.”
